Does anybody know if it´s possible to assign touch respons? By that I mean that, when you have stacked two sounds, right1 and right2, for example right1 responds to touch velocity and right2 not?

Greetings,
Willem.

Re: Assign touch respons

Hi John, I posted it in the KN7000 forum, So it's most likely a KN7000shades
The reason 'm looking for this feature is that I want to layer sounds where the first sound should not react on key velocity with the second sound on the background and use key velocity to spice it up a little.

Regards, Willem.

Re: Assign touch respons

Hi Willem, I now know what you are after, I am sure there is a way as if I remember correctly the touch response can be turned on or off in voice edit, I will try a few things out and let you how I get on, but it may take a few days, I will log what I have to adjust sound like Piano/strings Trumpet/ brass etc. also can you let me what kind of sounds you have in mind ??
Regards John.

Re: Assign touch respons

I'm going to listen to you guys discussing this because I don't think it's a simple on-off switch in Sound Edit. Interesting.

It will definitely be beneficial to know which instruments you want to layer and might be worth combining them into a single Sound Memory so that you coudl add a third Sound at will using the Conductor.

Re: Assign touch respons

Probably no help at all, but when playing inhttp://www.sultansofswingers.co.uk... I will often add one sound to the left hand and a different and appropriate sound or sounds to the right hand...that's when I'm not using a rhythm/style.

Re: Assign touch respons

Hi John,

I would like to combine panflute and strings on Right1 and Right2. The touch respons on the strings should be minimized or turned off so the expression on the flute gets more obvious and the prevent the strings from getting too harsh when hitting the keys a bit stronger.

Willem.

Re: Assign touch respons

Hi John,

Don't make any haste with it. It's not a matter of life or death but it would be nice if I could make this work. It will make the KN7000 even more flexible than it already is smiling

Regards, Willem.

Re: Assign touch respons

I have not forgotten you my friend, I have managed to do it on an older model, but as you have found some features have changed as time went by and also as they added features the name of some of the functions has changed so I am still working on it

Re: Assign touch respons

Hi John,

I downloaded the files to my desktop. But how on earth can I get them into the keyboard? Copying them to an SD card doesn't seem to work...

Regards, Willem.

Re: Assign touch respons

Sorry Willem, Do you have access to a 3.5" floppy disk drive? as loading part file set is much easer that way, as all you need to do is copy the two files onto the disk then load. the voice should be ready to play do not press any other buttons. and the panflute should be sensitive and if you play gently you should hear the strings, I knoe the voices will need to be balanced as you would like but that part is the easy bit.
If your laptop does not have a built in floppy dive I use a Sony USB 3.5" drive and it works great and they are not expensive.
Regards John.
