How to save parameters of a song (rhythm, sounds, tempo etc...) on SD Card

Hi,
I have a KN7000 and am still in the learning phase.
I would like to save parameters of a song and recall them when required.
The song is using non-built-in rhythm and sound stored on different SD card folders.
My questions are :
1.When I save this song, will the rhythm and sound be saved in the same file so I can put it on another SD card or it has to be on the same SD card where the non-built-in rhythm and sound are stored.
2. Is there any software on PC which allows me to convert all the styles on the Style Conversion floppy (Solton, Korg i-serie etc..),and stored these converted styles on PC so I can put them on an SD card ?
Thank you for your help.

Thanh

Providing your non-built in song and all its settings is loaded from an SD Card to your keyboard. You can then swap to another SD Card and save it to that as well.
There is only one other piece of software that enables you to convert other keyboard manufacturers styles and that is EMC Styleworks Universal which costs around £300. (English currency)

Re: How to save parameters of a song (rhythm, sounds, tempo etc...) on SD Card

Thanks RMepstead for you reply. I'm glad to learn that I can save the songs into another SD because there's not enough room on the SD where my styles are stored.
Regarding the style conversion, there is a Technics-provided Style Convert Disk where I can see styles from Gem, Korg, Roland, Solton, Technics. Is there a way to bulk-save them to an SD Card or I have to convert them one by one on the KN and then save one by one to SD card ? It is pretty tedious isn't it ?

Thank you in advance for your help

Re: How to save parameters of a song (rhythm, sounds, tempo etc...) on SD Card

Given that your SD Card is let's say a minimum of 250mb then the filing system in it for settings for your songs is 20 song settings in each of 99 folders...so 20 x 99 =nearly 2000 songs.
To my best memory the Technics-provided Style Convert Disk does not contain styles from the various other keyboard manufacturers but little bits of software for enabling conversion of other manufacturers styles that you have collected elsewhere on the internet. Yes you would only be able to convert these other manufacturers styles one by one....and only then will you be able to see whether they are suitable for your use.
Definitely tedious Thanh.

Thanks RMepstead.for your explanation.
Too bad that Technics limits to 100 folders on the SD. It would be nice if the limit is the size if the SD.
On the Style Convert Disk, I see 5 files :Gem, Korg, Roland, Solton, Technics.
I thought they are styles from other brands.

Hi again Thanh
When Technics began using SD Cards there were only very small amounts of memory in the SD cards. That was over 20 years ago now.
No the style convert disk does not contain styles, it only contains bits of software for converting styles.

Hi Thanh
Switch your KN7000 on.
Pop the style convert floppy disk into the keyboard and you will have an option on the left hand side of the screen which says words to the effect 'convert style'
Select this option and it will ask which of a number of different keyboard manufacturers styles you wish to convert.
Having made that selection it will then ask you to pop in another floppy disk contains the style of that manufacturer's keyboard that you wish to convert.
Select that and press go...you will be offered a memory area on the left side of your keyboard to save it to.
Save it and then go to it, select it, and see if you like it and it is what you want.
If you're happy with it then save it to that enormous (my joke) SDCard that you have for future use.

Thanks Roger.
I see now that that piece of software only runs on the KN7000.
I have the other floppies that were provided with the keyboard.
Do you know if someone has converted all of them and post them somewhere.
BTW, I have successfully replaced the floppy drive with a Gotek USB-Floppy emulator.
