Over the years I have always saved in Technics mode but now want to retrieve some to play in a sequencing program. How do I do that?

Re: Retrieving SMF Saved as Technics

Hi Bernie,

This is something I want to do too and I've been working on finding easy ways to do it. I'm a long way off finding easy ways as of yet. I'm sure I will get it in the end and I'll publish a procedure if I do. I published the same question on Synthzone a few months ago but nobody could help.

In the meantime you can take a look at this page on George's site - CLICK HERE

But I think it is a big task.

I hope I can solve this one in due course.

BUT

If you don't use the Auto Play Chord you CAN save as a Standard MIDI File. I'll be trying some experiments with it as soon as I can (which won't be very soon). Let us know if you try that option and get some success. It should be fine at saving all the melody notes or anything you play with both hands.... and I know you're a two-hander!

There is some way of saving APC into the sequencer but again I haven't had time to try it out as of yet.

Best wishes,
Mike
