Hi Alexmar

I have a kn7000 for sale in BC Canada, I bought it a few years ago as a back up,it is as good as out of the box, I never use it , I have two of them, just one of the Greatest Keyboards, as I was playing a few private functions, now I don't …

Re: New KN7000 Lover

Over at the top on the right is a button called sound explorer. Have a detailed look there because the KN7000 has an amazing range of sounds. You can also put two sounds together using the part select right 1 and right 2 buttons - bottom right.

Repair guidance U40 organ

Hello, I'm new to the site and to organs in general. I was recently given a U40 and was very excited to add it to my instrument collection. The previous owner told me everything on it worked and he never had a problem with it. Alas, a few days after I t…

Re: KN6000 or 2600 - Which is better

A bit more info for you Steve. Whilst the KN6000 styles/rhythms will work in the KN2600. the reverse is not true. The KN2600 is only SD Card ready as you are aware, and it wasn't until the KN7000 was launched prior to the KN2600 that SD Card technology wa…

Re: KN6000 or 2600 - Which is better

Hi Mike, thanks for you input and comments. Actually the 2600 was the last arranger keyboard Technics made and was released four years after the 6000. But that doesn't always mean newer is better. That's why I am hoping to get feedback from some who …

Re: KN6000 or 2600 - Which is better

I have never owned a KN2600 but the model number suggests to me it will be earlier tech than the KN6000. It depends on what the price is but I've owned a KN6500 for several years and can vouch for its performance and features - I paid around £350 ($400?) …

KN6000 or 2600 - Which is better

Hi all

I currently have a KN2600 and I also have a line on a KN6000 for very reasonable price. The 2600 gets little use as would the 6000 but I like some of the Technics features and would like to have at least one later model KN in my collectio…

Re: Replacement music rest

Hi Katrina,

I don't unfortunately, that's one of the main issues. I don't want to order several if they are expensive in case people don't want them. I think I'll email all the owners of particular keyboards when I have news of each stand cost and gaug…

PS
I'm actually in the UK.
The previous posts came up with USA flag. I've edited my address as UK at the bottom of the Profile.
(Has always said UK at top of the Profile Page anyway).

But still displays the wrong flag!

Re: Replacement music rest

PS the replacement won't match the original it will have a solid surface because I don't like the way that sheets of music fall through the original. But it will fit in the same way as the original.

Hi Brian and All,

Just like several of my projects it has proven to be quite complicated to source music rests for Technics keyboards. I have made drawings of quite a few of the rests and taken the actual rests to manufacturers to try to take this forw…

Re: Midi port check

You should be able to read a small value with a multimeter across pins 4 and 5 when keys are depressed.

Re: PX-201 only outputs very quiet aux output - even after amp board replaced.

Thanks,

I messed up a soldering job (inexperienced) and one of the circuit boards popped, so it's of no concern anymore! New piano it is.

Kawai CA98 in polished ebony is the plan
